Launching Travel With la French was born from a dream, a passion, and a journey that left an indelible mark on me. It results from months of travel, discoveries, encounters, and a deep desire to share all this with you. Hereโs how it all began.
A Personal Adventure First and Foremost
In 2023, I made a bold decision: to embark on a year-long backpacking journey through some of the most fascinating countries in Southern and Eastern Africa. My adventure began in South Africa, a country of incredible diversity. From there, I explored the red dunes of Namibia, the pristine beaches of Mozambique, the lush mountains of Malawi, the national parks of Zambia, the epic safaris of Tanzania, the turquoise waters of Zanzibar, and finally, the majestic landscapes of Kenya.
Traveling solo allowed me to go beyond the typical tourist spots. Each country offered me more than just stunning landscapes: rich human exchanges, life lessons, and a profound respect for the cultural and natural diversity of this continent.
But this journey was also a personal reflection. I realized how travel can transform our perspective on the world and ourselves. And itโs this transformation that I wanted to pass on.
The Turning Point: Sharing and Inspiring
At every stage of my journey, friends, family, and even strangers would ask me questions: โHow do you organize all of this?โ โWhat are the must-see places?โ โIs this accessible to someone like me?โ These repeated questions made me realize there was a need: to guide travelers in experiencing authentic adventures without the hassle and uncertainty of planning.
Africa is often perceived as distant, complex, or challenging for uninitiated travelers. Yet, itโs full of wonders and offers unparalleled hospitality. I wanted to become the bridge between travelers and these magnificent lands.
A Different Kind of Travel Agency
After returning to France in May 2024, the idea of creating Travel With la French took shape. However, I didnโt want to build a conventional travel agency. I wanted each trip I organized to reflect my clientsโ desires, needs, and dreams. Each itinerary had to be unique, carefully crafted, and based on my experience.
